Actor Yu Aoi appeared live on the Nippon Television morning information program "DayDay." (Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m.) on June 26th. She made her first TV appearance with her husband, comedian Ryota Yamazato of the comedy duo Nankai Candies, who was the MC for the show.
When Aoi appeared in the studio with a smile, Yamazato shyly greeted her, saying, "Welcome. Good morning." When co-star Shelly teased him, saying, "You two were already grinning and flirting even before you came in," Yamazato was embarrassed and said, "When I commented (on the news that had just aired), you looked like you were saying, 'What kind of comment is that?' Oh, can you stop that?" Takahashi Shigeo of the comedy duo "Savannah" described the atmosphere in the studio as, "It's like a weird school visit."
When asked how they felt about acting together as a married couple, Aoi replied with a shy laugh, "I feel a bit excited," while Yamazato revealed, "I'm nervous."
Yamazato and Aoi got married in June 2019. Their first child, a daughter, was born in August 2022.
